“Memory Catcher” [Espanta Memórias] é uma instalação interativa inspirada na Escola de Verão da Cultivamos Cultura. Tem a intenção de captar e preservar o intercâmbio que decorreu entre experiências, conhecimentos e pessoas.
Através da técnica do crochet o ADN e/ou os pertences pessoais dos participantes tornam-se parte do mesmo corpo, forjando a sua associação e interligação através desta memória comum. Todos os anos esta instalação pode ser revisitada e expandida com a presença e memória de novos participantes.

“Memory Catcher” is an interactive installation inspired by Cultivamos Cultura’s Summer School. Its intention is to capture and preserve the exchange that took place between experiences, knowledge, and people.
Through the crochet technique, the DNA and/or personal belongings of the participants become part of the same body, forging their association and interconnection through this common memory. Every year this installation can be revisited and expanded with the presence and memory of new participants.

Jelena Matičić (Karlovac, Croácia, 1989) estudou Etnologia, Antropologia da Cultura, Estudos Museológicos e Gestão de Património na Faculdade de Humanidades e Ciências Sociais em Zagreb. Trabalha na Kontejner desde 2013, como produtora e relações públicas. O seu primeiro projeto com a Kontejner foram os festivais Device art 4.012 (Zagreb, 2012) e depois o Extravagant bodies: Extravagant age (Zagreb, 2013).

Jelena Matičić (Karlovac, Croatia, b. 1989.) studied Etnology and Cultural Anthropology and Museum studies and Heritage Menagement at Faculty of Humanities and Social Studies in Zagreb. She is employed in Kontejner since 2013 as a producer and PR. First project with Kontejner was Device_art 4.012 (Zagreb, 2012) and after that Extravagant bodies: Extravagant age (Zagreb, 2013).
